Also, there seems to be an entire category of pesto out there that is called “chilli-flavored”. Its not bad, but it does not have that “chilli” flavor. The best pesto is actually made of a mixture of basil, garlic, and olive oil.
While we’re on the topic of chili-flavored pesto, I would like to emphasize that this is not an evil form of pesto. In fact, its a very interesting and effective form of pesto. You can see the chili-flavored pesto in the videos below and you should absolutely get some. I have a lot of friends who have pesto, but it’s not as effective as the conventional pesto.
