ronnie coleman is one of my favorite fitness instructors. She is so good at teaching bodyweight workouts. She helps people build lean muscle mass, and I am so proud to call her my coach. I also think she helps people with their nutrition because she teaches a variety of nutrition and fitness styles.
When I was in college, I started going to her classes and realized that I didn’t like the classes. I thought they were very boring. Even though I was a pretty good athlete, I was not able to stick to the workouts as well as I thought I could. So I stopped going to her classes. I still love her classes, and she is one of the few instructors I will actually listen to.
It’s always a good idea to have a coach. One thing that I have noticed about Ron is that she gives you lots of feedback about what you can do better. She also gives you lots of encouragement. If you come out of a ronnie coleman workout feeling like you didn’t do too badly, then it’s a great sign that you put some effort into it.
I have never taken any of her workout classes, but I have always always felt like it has been a bit too easy. I have always felt like it is easy to do as long as you keep doing it. Ron is right though. I need to take it much more seriously.
Ron is a certified personal trainer who is on the fitness side of things. She seems to be very serious about fitness, but I’ve never been convinced that she’s anything more than a very hard-working hard-ass. She also gives you lots of encouragement, which is a good thing. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed when I signed up for Ron’s classes. I thought I was going to be a little embarrassed.
Well, you would think that after being dragged through hell for so long, you’d get to a point where you could take a little bit of Rons’ encouragement and use it to help you through your workouts. But apparently not. She was very helpful during my first few workouts, but soon after that I was feeling so out of it I just about fell asleep during my last workout.
There’s a very good reason for that. Your body is designed to have you on the floor for as long as you can possibly manage it. After that, it stops working so you become completely incapable of making any kind of progress. That’s why you should always, always, always, always rest.
Ronnie’s explanation was kind of the best explanation possible. I am a huge fan of using rest as a training tool. I know that it works because when my body stops working I can feel it working. Its not like it feels like something is wrong with you. Its just that I feel so much better when I stop doing a task, and theres no way to know what’s going on. So I rest.
So, we went back in time and talked to ronnie coleman to find out where he got the idea for his pre-workout routine. He admitted that he had no idea what the process was, but he did know it was a lot better than just drinking a lot of water. His plan was to go to bed at night without doing anything strenuous, and then wake up in the morning and drink a lot of water.
Now, this routine was pretty much the same for everyone, so I was curious to see if anyone had any different ideas. Turns out that some people thought the routine would be too boring, while others thought it would be too intense. But the people that thought it was too intense were the ones who had a lot of protein in the morning. I was shocked to learn that this was one of the least intense pre-workouts I have ever done. The rest of the workout went pretty smoothly.
