I’m not a big fan of this potpourri recipe because I feel like it is a lot to go through and I don’t always have enough time to make each ingredient perfectly. It’s almost like there is an ingredient that you can use but you need to make sure that you use it right. I usually have to make a lot of these to get it right.
Potpourri can also be a great way to use up leftover spices. In this recipe, I have used coconut milk, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, and turmeric powder. Although it is a little more expensive, it is worth it to keep on hand for times when I don’t need to buy so much.
The last time I did this recipe, I made it with a vegetable powder (made from a vegetable) and used it in place of the coconut oil. This is the same recipe that I used to make the potpourri paadiadadi and I like to use coconut oil in my recipe because it is less expensive than any other ingredient.
The recipe below is the same as the one I used in the original potpourri paadiadadi. It is very easy to make and tastes great.
The recipe and recipe I used in potpourri paadiadadi are both a tad different and they both work well in the pot. I used to make it with the vegetable powder because I had no idea what coconut powder was. Now I know that coconut powder is the powder that you buy at the store in the shell. The vegetable powder I used was made by grinding dried vegetables. I also used a tablespoon of coconut oil and a spoonful of brown sugar.
The vegetables for this recipe are potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, spinach, and cucumber. I used a combination of the three, but it is also delicious with just one or two of the other ingredients.
As usual I used a cup of the recipe and made one batch of the vegetable powder. I will say that a lot of recipes I have seen make potato powder, which in my estimation is a bit of a misnomer. If you boil a potato for 20 minutes you get the starch that we call potato starch. The starch that you get from boiling a potato for 20 minutes is called starch. The starch that is made from boiling a potato for 20 minutes is called starch.
I have a similar recipe to that of rice starch that I use for cooking. I boil my rice until it is about 2/3 full, then add water and boil for another 2/3rds of the way. This is a lot of water, but it makes the rice fluffy. I then add a bit of starch to the rice, and mix it in. This will make the rice fluffy and add a bit of crunch to the rice and gives it that “rice pudding” flavor.
Potatoes are a great starch, and I use them in so many different ways in my cooking. We’ll be talking about them more in a future post, but to get a quick recipe for them, you can usually find the recipe in an Indian cookbook. Potatoes are also great in soups and stews.
