If I look into a glass of water, I see a wave. If I look into a glass of water, I see an entity. Even if I look into a glass of water, I can know that it is not an object, but the universe.
By looking into that glass of water, we can begin to normalise that universe to one that we can recognise as being a wave, an entity, and nothing more.
Normalise means to think of a whole universe as a single entity. So if you look into a glass of water, you see a whole universe, then you can understand that the universe is a wave, an entity, and a nothing more. The word ‘normalise’ is used in quantum mechanics for the purpose of examining a wave function. The wave function tells us what is possible, given all the information we have.
