I like to save my ie tab in my chrome window so I don’t have to open up a new browser window to go to the page I’m interested in. I use the “tab” window to check email, etc. to keep my tabs in sync.
Why would you want to do this? Well, you can check your email and save it to your chrome window. If you want to check your inbox, then you can do that too. But if your browser window is open on the same screen as your browser, ie is the window in the tab that you are on, you can use the tab window to see your other tabs (or use the tab window to switch windows), and you can check your browser window’s history.
This is the same idea as switching windows, and it’s also a neat way to use tab windows to switch windows and use the browser history. If you want to check your emails, for example, you can do that right there in the tab window. If you’re used to using tabs but can’t find one with your current active tab, feel free to use the tab window to switch tabs.

The first time I found this browser I was playing around with it and I found it really useful. Chrome is a browser, just like Safari is a browser. There is no reason you can’t use the tab window in Chrome, although you have to be careful with the settings. I found I could switch between windows with the tab window, but I noticed that I had to click a checkbox to actually make this happen.
