I didn’t know about the restaurant until we were in the area last week. The food is fantastic, and their wine list is excellent. The staff is friendly, and they even have a little table where you can watch them do their tasting, if you want to.
This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. It’s near a great little park and, more importantly, a good place to stop for a drink after your groceries. At its height, the restaurant had a very popular restaurant called “The Reef” that was about the kind of casual casual place you would expect to find in a beach. The Reef was a hole-in-the-wall place that did amazing seafood. The food lion menu is a lot like that, and I can only imagine how good the food there was.
