The real deal is this: The El Paso County Food Coop, one of the largest food coops in the United States, has been serving the community since 1955. It’s a place where you can go and buy all sorts of fresh produce, meat and pasta, and it’s available all the time. In the past two weeks, I had been to the coop to pick up my first box of chinese food. I had bought it from a guy who works in the warehouse.
I’m not sure why this is surprising. This food coop has been serving the community since 1955 and the last time I had visited was two years ago.
