When there are too many things going on, it can be difficult to stay focused on anything. Your attention span should be as short as possible, so you should try to stay away from screens, videos, social media, etc. If there is some time to relax and unwind, that will do you good.
I also recommend that you try to avoid too much technology to begin with. This is especially true if you are going to spend so much time away from your laptop, tablet, phone, etc. It can be very distracting.
The trouble is that there are so many distractions out there. When you are trying to do too much, you end up not focusing on anything and that can be a real problem. I do recommend that you take some time off to recharge your batteries. If you’re a person who can’t get a full night’s sleep, try to do something relaxing and enjoy a walk, go for a jog, take a yoga or Pilates class, or go to the gym.
Well, if youre not trying to do too much, I dont think it matters how much of a distraction you are. But keep in mind that the bigger the distraction, the harder it becomes to focus and concentrate.
I think the best thing to do is take a nap. I personally find myself getting most of my sleep in the early morning hours. I usually have a little time to myself before the rest of my family gets up and usually, if its still dark outside, I can get a good nap in.
I do that while I read and I even do that while I watch my favorite TV shows. But I also find myself doing a lot of things while I nap. But there are those things that I tend to do that I dont find myself doing when I’m awake. In general, I tend to do a lot of those things during the day. It just makes sense that if you’re trying to fall asleep, you probably aren’t going to be doing them during the day.
In life, its almost as easy to fall asleep and wake up again as it is to do something else, but there are some things you do at night that you cant do during the day. This can be anything from walking to reading to watching TV. Most of the time though, it would be something more specific like writing a book, taking a nap, or even watching TV. But there are some kinds of things you may be able to do at night that you cant do during the day.
Some of these things are specific to a person’s circadian rhythm, and most of them happen around the time of the fall equinox, around the time of the winter solstice, and around the time of the midpoint of the year. The night is a great time to meditate, to read and to watch television as most of our attention is consumed by the things that we’re doing or thinking about.
This last one is a little outside our expertise, but for those who are interested, you can turn your clock back to the fall equinox by going to sleep on the day of the equinox and waking up on the previous day. You can also use your watch to get a rough idea of what time it is at any given moment.
There is a big difference between meditating while watching television and meditating while watching videos online. Watching TV is for those whose attentional focus is on the TV screen. It’s a distraction that makes us feel like we are doing something useful. This is when we usually fall asleep. Watching videos is when we are so distracted by how much we are excited by the video that we forget to be asleep.
