I didn’t know about the restaurant until we were in the area last week. The food is fantastic, and their wine list is excellent. The staff is friendly, and they even have a little table where you can watch them do their tasting, if you want to.
This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. It’s near a great little park and, more importantly, a good place to stop for a drink after your groceries. They also have a menu in the food section that is a good place to pick up some groceries if you’re in the mood for something a little lighter. A recent visit to their dinner menu was one of the most fun meals Ive ever had. We were really struck by the variety of dishes, and the quality of the wine.

They have a very creative take on seafood, and a wide variety of fish.
I love the concept of using local ingredients. I think the best part about food lion is that they actually do a lot of their own seining. They have a lot of sustainable seafood there, and it’s not just the fish. Their fish is not just fish, but also a lot of shellfish and a lot of crab.
The food lion menu also includes lots of vegetarian options and the like. At its height, the restaurant had a very popular restaurant called “The Reef” that was about the kind of casual casual place you would expect to find in a beach. The Reef was a hole-in-the-wall place that did amazing seafood. The food lion menu is a lot like that, and I can only imagine how good the food there was.
